Michelle’s Skin Care Routine (Combination/Acne Prone/Sensitive Skin)

hey everyone!
this is my skin care routine (sorry about the quality, it was filmed on my laptop).

Morning routine:
Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser Scrub ($5)
Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight and Fade Toner (with a cotton round) ($8-9)
CoverGirl Aqua Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer ($6.49)

Night routine:
Ponds Cold Cream (the best makeup remover EVER!) (with a cotton round(s)) ($5)
Neutrogena Naturals Face and Body Bar ($3)
Neutrogena Wave with foaming pads (the blues ones) ($10 for the wave and $7 for a box of 30 foaming pads)
Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight and Fade Toner (with a cotton round) ($8-9)
Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for Sensitive Skin ($8-10)
Mint Masque ($3)
Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Fight and Fade Gel (be warned: it smells funky lol) ($7-8 unsure)

Extra Products I use:
Mark super exfoliating beads with cranberry and pomegranate seeds ($8 from an Avon or mark representative)

i have combination skin (oily T-zone and dry checks) and my skin is acne-prone (unfortunately). and it’s sensitive!! i get a reaction to many products! a piece of advice when trying new products to start very slowly, start with once every other day and gradually build up. your skin can get use to a product easier that way. hopefully this gives you ideas to add into your skin care routine.

thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe!!!!

Updated Skincare Routine – How I Cleared My Acne!

Hey dolls!
Ive been really excited to do an updated skin care routine because the past 1-2 months my skin had cleared SO much!
After using the products mentioned in this video, I still get the occasional breakout but all the persistant acne I had for 2 years has completley gone.
When it comes to skincare, less is definatley more. Dont put loads of different products/lotions on your face trying to clear your skin because itll just make it worse. Find a good skincare routine that works for your skintype/problems and give it at least 2 months before switching up again. If you have a lot of acne that doesnt go away (like I did!), make an appointment with your doctor because theyll be able to give you some options to help you out.

MY PREVIOUS SKINCARE ROUTINE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgwYlFp8Xd8

FTC: Eveyrthing shown was purchaced by me with my own money. The Duac Once Daily Gel was perscribed to me by my doctor. All oppinions are my own. I am not being paid.

xoxo

My Summer Skin Care Routine

READ ME!!

Makeup i’m wearing in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7qDWgk1PdA

I have an oily skin type that is not too sensitive. Products that work on me may not work on everyone. For example, the bio oil was not moisturizing enough for me in the winter but I still have oily to oily/combination skin in the fall/winter.

Many factors can account for acne, dull skin, etc. such as hormones, your diet, sleep habits, weather conditions, your skin type, your skin regimen, use of products that may not agree with your skin. Overdrying the skin will stimulate your oil glands and can further make you break out. DO moisturize! It’s just a matter of finding the right one for your skin type.

Personally for myself less is more. Try to not use any face washes that make your skin feel too tight and dry but if you do make sure to moisturize your skin really well! It is pretty much a balancing act to maintain your skin’s moisture.

If you are wondering why my skin is glowing? Let’s get more personal now. Usually before my period starts up until about the third to fourth day of my period, my skin is clearer and brighter. I still do get spots but somehow my complexion just looks better. While this was filmed this was on the second day of my period. After my period ends, I find that this is when I start getting a few more spots here and there.

Last but not least, I do NOT have flawless or perfect skin. There are times where my skin will look better due to hormones but overall I have enlarged and clogged pores leading to many many blackheads since I have oily skin. I used to get more acne and such around my jaw and chin due to hormones but I think this may have decreased over the years.

Here are the products mentioned in the video:

Night time routine:
-Target brand Up & Up eye makeup remover
-Walgreens brand Cleansing & Make-up Removing Towelettes
-Aveeno Positively Radiant Makeup Removing Cleanser
-Bio-Oil

Daytime routine:
-Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control
-Bio-Oil
-Shiseido Extra Smooth Sun Protection Cream spf36 PA+++

Once to twice a week:
-St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish & Blackhead Control

Don’t forget to drink lots of water and try to have a healthier diet and lifestyle!

How I Cured ACNE:Products and tips

I had a lot of questions from people, asking me how I cured my acne. I started getting acne in Feb 2010, It has only just about cleared up. I still have the odd breakout and i have a ton of scars but as long as i take care of my skin and watch what i eat, it is pretty controllable.

During my time of having acne, it became my life. I was constantly insecure about my face and my confidence went downhill. No makeup could cover the acne, it only enhanced it and often looked wrong. It was a low point. Unless you have experienced acne, you probably won’t see it as any major deal. I give sympathy to those who have had to battle it. I know I know, its not the end of the world, much more important things in the world to be stressing about but I genuinely hope this will help some of you out there and to those who comment that my skin is perfect, it really is not…

So whether you have acne or not, it is important to look after your skin! I am no dermatologist, I am simply sharing what I ha been through and hoping that it may help someone.

Products are all listed in the video and are generally available from your drugstore etc….
