The Right Treatment to Control or Cure Acne

Acne products are easily available in the market and as well as on the Internet. By understanding what type of acne you have, will help you choose the right treatment to control or cure it. Infantile acne usually disappears a few months after the baby is born. In the clogged skin pore the presence of bacteria forms acne. There are contemporary and parallel theories also for acne removal. Herbs like hazel an excellent astringent, red clover an estrogen, and pokeroot an anti-inflammatory are herbal acne remedies. Some people insist that one of the best acne treatments is to eat a high-fiber diet. Acne medications are sometimes advertised as overnight cures.

There may not be a miracle cure, but the products that are available today are a lot better than what I had to choose from. Beware of acne treatments that rely on ‘vitamin A’ derivatives because they could end up damaging your skin. Have a healthy diet and drink lots of water. By picking on the acne, it may cause acne scarring which is another problem you will have to deal with. The real food items that cause acne are the ones that cause a rapid increase in your blood sugar. Acne can sometimes be caused and aggravated by certain types of cosmetics.

Believe it or not food allergy can be the reason for some very nasty cases of acne. Not only are teenagers venerable to acne but almost everyone has to deal with acne from time to time. There are a number of skin care products on the market that can help contain an acne problem. The exact cause of acne remains a mystery. Keep in mind that even if you have tried several different acne treatments to no avail, there is always something else to try for your acne. There are lots of over the counter solutions and the internet offers many excellent products.

Though acne is not life threatening, it can cause unwanted permanent scarring and cause emotional distress if it is not treated properly. People go for home made acne treatment depending upon the extent of damage the acne causes in an individual. In olden days, turmeric was used by every one, because it has lots of medicinal value.

If you want to get rid of acne in 2 months, Acne Cure Advice is your best choice.

Acne Scars Treatment – Effective Tips To Prevent And Heal Acne Scars

Acne scars are easily recognized by the red skin of an area formerly occupied by a pimple. The initial form, while not actually a scar, will lead to one in some cases. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure that it is a scar is if the red skin persists for longer than 6-12 months. It is often better, therefor, to treat all acne lesions as potential scars.

What Causes Acne Scars?

Acne scars are caused by an overabundance of the connective tissues your body uses to heal itself. These tissues work to provide a temporary framework for your skin cells to regrow on. But if there is too much of this connective tissue, it is not broken down when the healing is complete, but rather stays permanently. This causes a discolored or unpigmented section of skin to form.

Avoiding Acne Scars

Since the root cause of acne scarring is acne, preventing acne in the first place is the best way to avoid scars. But even if you already have acne, it is still possible to prevent acne scars from forming. The way this is done is by speeding the healing process as much as possible. The faster your acne lesion heals, the less time the connective tissue framework has to overgrow and leave scars.

Speeding the Healing Process

There are 2 main treatments dermatologists use to facilitate the rapid healing of acne lesions. The first is Tretinoin, an acid derivative of Vitamin A, also known as all-trans retinoic acid. This chemical speeds the skin’s healing, reducing inflammation and preventing acne scars from forming.

The second method involves the use of various Alpha- and Beta-Hydroxy acids, which perform much the same function as Tretoinin, speeding healing and reducing the chance of scarring.

Helping Yourself

Even if you don’t or can’t see a dermatologist, there are several different things you can do yourself that can help prevent acne scars from forming. The biggest thing is to treat your skin well. Avoid over-exposure to the sun, as sunburns can dramatically slow the healing process. Always wear sunscreen when going out in the sun. Don’t pop your pimples, and if there are scabs from lesions, do not pick at them. Picking at any wound as it heals causes more damage, extending healing times and increasing the likelihood of scar tissue forming.

Removing Existing Acne Scars

Even with the best of care, scarring still sometimes occurs. But even if a scar does form, there are several options available that can reduce or eliminate your visible scarring.

Dermal Fillers

Fillers such as collagen can be injected into the site of an acne scar, raising the skin surface to reduce the appearance of pockmarks. These are not permanent treatments, however, and will require re-injection every 3-6 months.

Laser Resurfacing

An extremely popular and fast treatment for acne scars, laser resurfacing works by burning a precisely measured upper layer of skin. New skin then grows over the wound, leaving mostly unscarred skin visible. But as with the initial acne healing process, care must be taken to insure that this new skin does not scar as well.

Punch Excision

This procedure is only effective on certain types of scars. A surgical punch is made to precisely the dimensions of the scar to be removed. The scar is then punched out, similar to a cookie cutter, and the wound sewn together. If there is any scarring left after the wound heals, it can be more easily treated with laser resurfacing than the original larger scar.

What is the Recommended Methods for Natural Acne Treatment

The best natural acne treatment is exercise and diet.

I suppose most acne patients realize this but do not have the will and determination to make it work.By using natural supplements, it can also help to drastically improve your acne problems.

Although acne mediation such as benzoyl peroxide and accutane can help cure acne, it is not a long term solution. To solve the root of the problem, a natural acne treatment should be adopted.Acne drugs such as benzoyl peroxide should not be used for long periods of time as it can cause skin irritation and in some cases skin redness.

How Diet Plays A Part In Natural Acne Treatment

What you eat or drink can also prevent or cause acne.Vitamins such as Vitamin A and B6 are essential for skin care.Other minerals such as chromium and zinc are also important in preventing acne and can be found in fruits and vegetables.

Generally speaking, a person should have at least 8 glasses of water a day in order to provide sufficient fluids for the body.Drinking plenty of water also helps to expel toxins out of the body.Eating oily food stuff such as pizzas and snacks can aggravate acne problems so avoid them when you have acne.A little is ok but not too much.

Exercise As A Natural Acne Treatment

One of the causes of acne is often stress and exercise can help relieve stress in turn preventing acne.Exercising helps to relax the muscles and excess fat. It can also relieve stress. Other techniques that are useful to relieve stress are mediation and yoga.Besides exercising, it is also important that you have a healthy state of mind.

Besides proper diet and exercise, your habits are essential for a natural acne treatment process.

Examples include cleanliness. That means washing your hands before touching your face, washing your hair frequently as oily hair can aggravate acne problems.

For ladies, cosmetics can contain damaging chemicals to your face when used for long periods of time.

If you are a smoker or an alcoholic, try to cut down or stop it completely.

Acne: Prevention, Care and Treatment of Cystic Acne

Acne is not a deadly disease, but it can have a devastating effect on your self-esteem and ability to enjoy life so it is important to know how to prevent it and if you already have it how to care for your skin and how to cure the acne. A particularly severe form of acne is known as cystic acne and in this article I will look at the ways to prevent and treat this skin problem.

Cystic acne manifests when your body overproduces fatty acids known as sebum. When sebum blocks the sebaceous glands, located at the hair follicles, and when the follicles are infected by bacteria, then the characteristic symptoms of acne appear: pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, lesions and cysts. In Cystic acne, as the name suggests, stubborn cysts are formed.

One of the main causes of acne is the change in the body’s hormones. During adolescence this change happens naturally to everyone, and that is why acne is usually associated with adolescence. Under the influence of the hormones the body produces the sebum that blocks the skin pores and causes acne. However, hormonal changes are also associated with the use of some contraceptive products and even with stress, so acne troubles some adults as well.

If you are prone to acne then here are some tips that can help you out.

The first rule is to never “pop” a pimple. Picking and squeezing the spots only makes the condition worse.

Keep your skin clean, drink plenty of water, eat fresh fruits and vegetables and get plenty of exercise. These are basic health habits and they will help you if you have skin problems. If you are “stressed out” then take long walks, practice yoga and allow yourself to relax and “chill out”.

If you are taking contraceptives then check with your physician. Some contraceptive pills aggravate acne. If you are taking medicines such as steroids or steroid creams, then once again you should consult with your physicians to see whether they are making the situation worse.

You may also want to use some acne treatment products to tackle the disease. Benozoyl Peroxide is often used in acne treatment as it helps to open up pores and to clear away dead skin cells. Low concentrations of Benozolyl Peroxide used over a period of a few weeks may help you to clear up white heads and blackheads, but not the cysts of cystic acne.

In treating cystic acne you can use Isotretinoin (sold under the names Roacutane and Accuntane). This preparation works by shutting down the production of the sebum which causes the problem. However, there are some severe side effects if this medication is used during pregnancy or if taken by someone suffering from gastrointestinal, blood or liver disorders.

To avoid these possible side effects it is safer to use a more natural treatment. Vitamin B5 or d-Calcium Pantothenate is a natural chemical that reduces sebum production and is effective in the treatment of cystic acne.

Another popular acne treatment product is sold under the brand name Acnezine. It is a combination of herbal extracts and antioxidants. It does not directly attack the bacteria associated with acne, but Acnezine works on the cause of the problem. This preparation neutralizes toxins and poisons and helps the liver to function better and deal with the hormones that create the over-secretion of sebum.

If you are troubled by acne and by cystic acne, then you should be proactive and do whatever you can to cure the problem. Follow the rules of all-around good health, with regard to diet, exercise, stress reduction and sleep and if necessary use some of the newer forms of acne treatment preparations that are now available.

Acne Treatment and Skin Care – Tips For Success

Looking in the mirror you can’t help but notice that a new pimple has erupted on your forehead. Right there in the middle of your face what you have been dreading for as long as you can remember. You knew it would happen sooner or later and it finally did. Now it’s time to do everything in your power to make it go away so your friends won’t see it and you won’t have to spend the next week in hiding. That’s how most of us feel the first time we get acne. It seems like our world is ending but it’s not. Acne is nothing to be afraid of, especially if you know how to treat it and minimize the effects; which isn’t as tough as it might first sound.

Your first instinct might be to poke and prod at the pimple but that’s not always a good idea. Popping it can lead to scarring, additional redness, and it may even help to spread the acne to other areas of your face. This is definitely the last thing you want to happen. Instead grab that face wash out of the shower and start cleansing your skin. Do this at least twice a day and more often if needed just don’t go over board because it can lead to excess drying of the skin. Of course your best bet would be to clean your face with a product that is designed for your particular skin type – be it oily or dry skin and keep to it even when you don’t have a breakout.

Prevention is the best way to cure acne. Blocked skin pores is what causes acne so preventing blocked skin pores can stop your acne outbreaks either totally or from being as bad as they might be otherwise.

Maybe you got that first acne breakout to go away without much of a problem but inevitably another one will occur, it’s only a matter of time. Sometimes acne is passed down from your parents and other times it is influenced by what we eat. As a teenager you probably don’t have the healthiest diet. Mom might make you eat vegetables with your dinner but when you get the chance it’s burgers and greasy pizza time all the time. Stop eating foods that have a high amount of fat and sugar and drink more water. A healthy body will mean healthy skin – look at anyone who eats a balanced diet and drinks a healthy amount of water – they look healthy don’t they.

It’s important to make sure also that if you wear makeup of any kind that you cleanse your skin properly after each use. Don’t go to bed with it on – sure it might be hypoallergenic and all that wonderful stuff but if you leave your pores blocked overnight then don’t be surprised if you wind up with a few zits a few days later. Actually the same cleansing pads that you use to remove makeup won’t do any harm to guys either – they’re a great way of keeping your pores clean and your face free of zits.

Sometimes, no matter how diligent you are acne still occurs. It’s part of life that many deal with each year. Getting into a routine with your cleaning products and changing your diet will help some but you may need something stronger. Dermatologists often prescribe pills to those who suffer from moderate to severe acne although this isn’t always the ideal route for some people. More people are looking back to nature for safe and healthy remedies to common lifestyle problems.
