Can Acne Skin Cleansers Prevent Acne Breakouts?
Half of the total female population of the world & a quarter of the male population suffer from Acne. Among the many therapeutic medicines the best way to solve this problem is to use Acne skin cleansers. The reason of this skin problem is mainly the increase of a hormone called testosterone, which causes the sebaceous glands in your skin to release more oil. Teenagers are the most vulnerable to this problem, but other age groups are not spared. So a good Acne remedy is all about proper diet and good medicines & cosmetics.
Skin Cleansers:What to Choose & What Not
There are thousands of products posing as Acne remedy. But it’s up to you to understand the nature of your skin and choose the right type of skin cleanser. The skin pores in your face are blocked with bacteria, so it is mandatory to remove these from your skin to achieve a complete acne remedy.
- Benzoyl Peroxide often destroys the bacteria that cause acne. You have to mix 2.5% of this solution for using on your skin with a cream.
- Salicyclic Acid often helps to clear blocked pores of your skin, forcing a free flow of body oils.
- Alpha Hydroxyl can be a good option for your acne affected skin. Citric acid from lemon and lactic acid from milk are also a good acne remedy.
- Tea tree oil is a natural remedy for your acne affected skin.
- Don’t use harsh soaps or shampoos to clear acne affected areas. Always use a soft linen to wipe your skin.
Some Essential Tips for Acne Prevention
- Avoid harsh skin cleansers.
- Use only warm water for your skin to remove make up, and soft linen for acne affected areas.
- Protect your skin from direct sunlight.
- Never itch, prick, pop or pinch zits. This may create permanent scars on your skin.
- Only use oil-free skin cleansers for your skin.
- Consult a dermatologist for your skin problems and try to maintain a proper diet.
Good Care = Acne Free Skin.
Acne remedy is all about good care of your skin and choosing the right type of acne skin cleansers. Patience is another keyword for treating this skin disease. The overuse of acne products can irritate your skin and increase its vulnerability. After your acne is healed your doctor may prescribe acne scar removal remedies for you. There are surgical and non-surgical ways to do this, and some of the surgical methods are quite costly and painful. It is much better to maintain a healthy skin care regime and avoid acne altogether than to have to take recourse to acne medicine and other kinds of acne solution.

Non drying acne cleanser that prevents menstrual breakouts?I have combination skin, with not too much acne, but I break out horribly during that time of the month, so can you recommend a cleanser that will prevent those breakouts?
Also, I heard Cetaphil works great, what has been your experience with that?
I switched from Pro-Active to Murad, which I think works wonders.
BC pills should also help with your acne, but I dont think there is a acne cleanser that "prevents" menstrual breakoutsReferences :
Nothing topical will prevent hormonal breakouts I'm afraid.References :
i have had good luck w/Neutrogena products. I use the facial wash that treats acne & then the Non-Alcohol Astringent…..of course there are always going to be the occassional break out…but i haven't had near as many. Always wash your face at night too as that adds to breaks outs.References :
I use Arbonne's Nutramin C line (anti aging regime)
its helped my skin tremendously but I still get the hormonal break outs some months. (It has helped cut down)
I just switch out the hydrating wash with their acne line wash (which my teen son uses)! Works really well.
You just may have to replace your daily regime with an acne cream/wash during that time.
I up my water intake that helps – and have been taking vitamins too (from Arbonne) I will find out this month if it helps. (for me)!!
Also try taking a wet/hot wash cloth (apply to face)
during break outs before you wash (heat in micro for extra warmth) and apply it – repeat, wash.. it may help draw out the extra oils during the "time"!References : RN

When you break out during that time of the month, it is a hormonal problem, not a cleansing problem. I have the same problem and combination skin. I tried everything, but the best thing to do is drink plenty of water, get vitamin c from fruit and eat lots of green veggies.References :
I would not use an acne line because it may dry you out too much. I would recommend using Aloette's acne treatment lotion. It zaps those breakouts fast. I mean in like 24hrs or less!! contact me for more info sw090104@yahoo.comReferences :
Cetaphil is awesome, and I would highly recommend it. I have sensative and oily skin, so the sensitive worked great and didn't give me any redness. I would recommend it, but make sure not to get the bar soap kind, get the liquid stuff, it works a lot betterReferences :
take gingko's biloba tablet from natural pharmacyReferences :
Phisoderm baby!!!References :
I doubt an actual cleanser would prevent menstrual breakouts because the breakouts are due to hormones. You might actually stick with a cleanser you like and use a natural hormone balancing cream instead to prevent your breakouts. The balancing cream will help every aspect of your period too, like PMS.References :
